The Association for Quality in Construction in the Outaouais Region ("AQCO") takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains the information we collect, why we collect it and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect

Depending on your interaction with AQCO, we may collect information you provide voluntarily:

  • your contact information, including your name, address, email address and telephone number;
  • information submitted in an inquiry or membership request;
  • information about a property, construction work, a builder or a construction issue submitted in a report;
  • the content of your messages and documents you choose to send us.

With your consent, our cookie-free analytics tool also processes limited technical information related to your visit, such as pages viewed, referrer, device type, browser and approximate location. The provider uses the IP address temporarily to produce certain statistics and then discards it.

2. Purposes

We use this information to respond to inquiries, manage memberships, review and process reports, communicate with you, improve our services and website content, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Consent

When you submit a form, you consent to the use of your information for the purposes stated when it is collected. Optional cookies and analytics tools are disabled by default and activated only if you accept them in our consent banner. You may review your choice at any time by clicking "Manage cookies" in the footer.

4. Disclosure and service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information to providers that help us operate the website, process forms or deliver our services, only to the extent necessary for their mandate. We may also disclose information where required by law or with your consent.

5. Retention and security

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to meet legal obligations. We apply reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, use or disclosure.

6. Your rights

You may request access to or correction of your personal information or, where permitted by law, withdraw your consent. To exercise your rights or ask a question, contact AQCO's privacy officer:
