AQCO pursues four complementary missions to improve residential construction in the Outaouais region and protect consumers.
Educate consumers about purchasing, owning, building, renovating, and maintaining residential buildings. An informed consumer is better protected.
We make representations to the Régie du bâtiment to improve quality in construction.
Protect consumers by initiating or supporting legal actions, including class actions for consumers harmed by construction defects or failures to meandgal obligations.
Promote scientific and technical research related to residential construction, renovation, and maintenance, including investigations into construction material quality and installation protocols.
AQCO firmly believes that collaboration among consumers, industry, and government is the key to sustainably improving residential construction quality in the Outaouais region.
By becoming a member or supporting our initiatives, you directly contribute to protecting consumer rights and improving construction standards in your community.
We work with the Régie du bâtiment du Québec, educational institutions, and other bodies to improve regulations and quality oversight.
By bringing affected consumers together, AQCO gives them a stronger voice and the means to pursue justice collectively.
